The times in my life where I have been absolutely speechless are far and few. I usually have something to say about everything. When I thought about being speechless, I usually thought of it as a time reserved for special moments in your life—more of a time where your breath is taken away…you are swept off your feet. The moment you are asked to be someone’s wife…you walk down the aisle to your future…you see your firstborn child for the very first time… Those are the kinds of moments I had liked to imagine would leave me speechless.

Unfortunately, I have discovered over the past few months that being left speechless is often not the result of a happy event, but the side effect of horrible happenings. So here I am…speechless as ever. The wind knocked out of me. Breathless, in the worst way possible. Since I am unable to find the words to express my heart right now, I will leave you this evening with a song.

Goodnight friends. It will all be okay.

  1. Blessings to you my friend. I sent you an e mail that will, hopefully, make your day brighter! Susan

  2. Oh no. So far, I've found in life that it's more the horrible times that leave me speechless than the happy times. May God be with you.
