Uff Da--{Future Decisions}

Uff da.

If you were from the Minnesota area or have an ounce of Norwegian in you, you know that phrase means exhaustion, surprise...any exclamation, for that matter. At the end of this long week, all I can say is “uff da.” (Fortunately, my Norwegian ancestors would be proud.) I like to keep things positive around here, and there was certainly a diversion from that theme in my last post. So today, I thought I would end my week on a happier note.

Earlier in the week, I was starting to reconsider some of my potential internship locations. I’m not sure that I have ever shared this, but I am a dietetics senior in college. As a part of the dietetics program, you are required to graduate with a bachelor’s degree and then participate in an accredited internship. The internships are much different than what one would normally think of. I would compare it more to a med school residency in a specialized field. Only certain locations in the nation accept interns. Did I mention the placement rate is 50%? 50%!!! Needless to say, I have worked my booty off to impress internships. With that said, on my former blog, I once posted a list of my top internships. For fun, I wanted to show a comparison. Since I interact with bloggers all over the country, feel free to comment on any of my choices. I have only really traveled throughout the Midwest and California, so I haven’t seen much of the East coast.

Drum roll please…

Introducing my updated list!

Here is the list I posted last Spring 2013.
 Isn't it crazy how quickly things can change? I can almost guarantee my ranking will change a couple more times before the February 15, 2014 deadline.

Happy weekend!

  1. Wow, so much research and applications--that must be a bit of a nerve-wracking process! But you still have time to come up with the best choices for you!

  2. I am glad to see that OSU is at the top of your list! You will not be disappointed! Good luck! Susan

  3. Hi! I tried to email you back but you're a no-reply blogger! If you go to your blogger profile and add your email then bloggers can email you back right from your comment :)

    I am so happy you found me! I've got a long way to go before I have to do the whole internship thing (I have another degree, so I'm going back for my second bachelors by distance through the University of Alabama) but like you said, I'm doing whatever I can to make my app amazing. It's crazy how competitive it is!! I can't wait to read about your experience. LOVE finding another future RD! :) :)
